Since 2019 the Town Lake Chapter of The Links Incorporated has partnered with Texas Empowerment Academy to develop and support enriching academic and cultural experiences for TXEA students. Town Lake’s partnership at TXEA includes technology, as well as artistic and health related programs. As the school moved to its brand new facility, Town Lake members wanted to commemorate our partnership and commitment to the school with a gift that would be enjoyed by generations of TXEA students. Austin artist, Ryan Runcie, was commissioned to create a mural that represents academic achievement in a variety of disciplines. The future is bright for TXEA students, and we look forward to our continued partnership.
In July, the mural was presented to returning and prospective students at the TXEA Open House. The excitement of the students and staff was captured in photographs taken in front of the mural.
